Louise Nevelson
Fifth grade students have been exploring how to make artwork using old/recycled items. The students looked at the artwork of Louise Nevelson who used old items to create her artwork. I told the students that they could create whatever they wanted however they wanted. They loved having this time to create whatever they wanted. They also had to paint their artwork however they like. The final part of the project was to draw pictures of their sculptures in different ways. This will help their practice still life drawings using something that the students have created on their own.
