Tessellations and M.C. Escher
Fourth Grade students have been working really hard to create tessellations like the one seen on this page. The students have been trying to create their tessellations in two different methods. For their practice project, they used graph paper to explore tessellations. Then for their final project, they are using a method where they cut paper to create a template to trace. The final result will look a little like a puzzle where the students will explore the use of colors in artwork.
