Welcome to Third Grade!
Wayne Theibaud meets the Ace of Cakes!
Third grade has been looking at some cool artwork in the past few classes! First they looked at the fabulous work of Wayne Theibaud (Tee-bow) with all of the sweets and food! Then we looked at the artwork of Duff Goldman. Mr. Goldman likes to turn cake into something amazing! So we were inspired by both Mr. Theibaud and Mr. Goldman, and we created a drawing of twelve cakes, after we learned how to draw a cylinder of course. Then the students turned their cakes into something amazing! Adding colorful details and interesting elements.
We are going to be working on an extension project along with this project. Third graders will be creating food out of clay!!! I'm so excited for these two projects! I can't wait to see how they turn out!
